What is "ANNADATA SUKHI BHAVA" ?

Friends and colleagues.
As you all know that we launched our film RESTAURANT in cinema houses in Pune on 3rd November 2006 and in Mumbai on 1st December
We have now completed hundred days of screening to satisfied audiences. I am glad to say that the film was received very well by the critics and the media as well.
As your are all aware and the title of the film leaves no doubt about it that the underlying theme of the film is in fact a Restaurant. It is thus the story of a Restaurant.
And a Restaurant basically is about food though it can be about many other equally and even more interesting things as well
But let me assure you that our film is really about food. Exotic food. Tasty food. Healthy food.
Our entire team is very happy today.
When we all look back upon this success we are reminded about our gratitude to the people who make it possible for a restaurant to function. Yes, our gratitude to people who grow food – vegetables, grains, pulses, fruit, dairy products. Yes, our gratitude to farmers who make restaurants possible and make a film on a restaurant possible.
And so as Shakespeare’s Claudius would put it ‘With an auspicious and a dropping eye, with mirth in funeral and with dirge in marriage’ even while rejoicing on this auspicious day we are constantly reminded of the suicidal deaths of farmers.
We believe in social commitment as the basis of art. And so we have decided to put aside small part of our earning to alleviate some of the sorrow of the poor farmers of Yeotmal district in Vidarbha to finance the entire school education of five deserving children of these poor farmers
